A mobile phone shop owner was tragically shot and killed by an unidentified assailant in the Charkhari area of Mahoba district, adjacent to Banda.
According to Vandana Singh, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Mahoba, the incident occurred on Tuesday evening around 7:30 PM near Nausara village, where 28-year-old Rajkumar Ahirwar was shot by an unknown attacker.
Upon receiving news of the shooting, police arrived at the scene and rushed the injured man to a hospital. He was later transferred to Jhansi Medical College, where he succumbed to his injuries late that night.
The ASP reported that Rajkumar was returning home on a motorcycle with his friend Pramod after closing his mobile shop in Charkhari when he was shot just before reaching Nausara village.
So far, there is no evidence of robbery, and authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report from Jhansi Medical College. Three police teams have been formed to investigate the incident.
